Terms of Service
Effective date: October 26, 2026
1. About these terms
Wonderly Stories (“Wonderly,” “we,” “us”) is a subscription service for families. Each week we deliver a new personalized bedtime story, along with reading activities and printables, for children ages 3–10. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wonderly website, stories, newsletters, printables, parent dashboard, emails, and any related features (together, the “Service”).
By creating an account, starting a free trial, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle information and forms part of your agreement with us.
2. Who may use Wonderly
Wonderly accounts are created and managed by adults — parents, guardians, caregivers, or teachers — for the benefit of young readers. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to open an account or subscribe, and you confirm that the payment method you use is yours or that you are authorized to use it.
Children may enjoy the stories with you, but they should not create their own accounts, and they should not use the Service without adult supervision. You are responsible for everything that happens through your account, so please keep your login details confidential and let us know right away if you believe someone else has access to it.
3. Your subscription, free trial, and billing
Wonderly is offered as a paid subscription. New subscribers begin with a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during those 7 days, and you may cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid any charge.
When your free trial ends, your subscription begins automatically at $6.99 per month. From then on, the subscription renews automatically each month at the then-current price, and the payment method on file is charged automatically at the start of each billing period until you cancel. You can look up your current price, status, and billing dates at any time on your parent dashboard.
We may occasionally offer promotions, discounts, or introductory pricing. Promotional offers apply only to the terms described when they are presented, and the regular subscription price applies once a promotion ends.
If a payment cannot be completed, we may retry it or suspend access until the payment succeeds. If we change the subscription price or the billing cadence, we will notify you before the change takes effect, and you may cancel if you do not agree.
4. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel your subscription yourself, at any time, from the parent dashboard on the Service. The cancel option is available to the adult account that started the subscription, and it takes effect immediately as a request to stop renewing — no phone call and no email to us is required.
When you cancel, your subscription does not renew and no further charges are made. You keep full access to the Service until the end of the period you have already paid for, and access ends when that period ends. Cancelling during your free trial means you will not be charged at all.
Charges already made are generally non-refundable, including partial months, except where a refund is required by applicable law or where we choose to issue one. You are welcome to subscribe again later; your account details and child profiles will be waiting.
5. Acceptable use
Wonderly is built for reading together. We ask that you use it that way, and you agree not to:
- copy, record, republish, resell, or redistribute our stories, activities, printables, or other content, or share your access with people outside your family or classroom;
- use the Service for any commercial purpose, including reading sessions, classes, or events offered for a fee, without our written permission;
- remove or alter copyright, branding, or attribution notices;
- attempt to access accounts, systems, or data that are not yours, or work around payment, trial, or access limits;
- reverse engineer, scrape, bulk-download, or use automated tools against the Service;
- upload or submit unlawful, harmful, hateful, or infringing material, or content that is not yours to share;
- impersonate Wonderly, our team, or another person; or
- use the Service in a way that could harm the Service, other users, or any child.
We may suspend or end access to the Service if these Terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or if we are required to do so by law.
6. Content and intellectual property
All Wonderly stories, characters, illustrations, activities, printables, names, logos, and other content are owned by Wonderly or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
While your subscription is active, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to read, listen to, and print our content for personal family use — or for use with the children in your own classroom if you are an educator. This licence does not allow publishing, broadcasting, reselling, or any other public or commercial use of our content, in print or online.
The Service itself, including its design, code, and features, also belongs to us. We keep all rights not expressly granted in these Terms.
7. Third-party services
Payments are handled by our payment provider, and we use other service providers for hosting, email delivery, sign-in, and analytics. Their terms and privacy notices apply to the parts of the Service they provide. The Service may also link to websites we do not control, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Service availability and changes
We work to keep Wonderly available and improving, but the Service is provided on an “as available” basis. We may add, change, or remove features, content, and stories, and we may occasionally need to interrupt the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any story, activity, or printable will meet a particular expectation, reading level, or educational outcome. Wonderly content is for enjoyment and general enrichment; it is not a substitute for professional educational, medical, or developmental advice.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Wonderly, its owners, and its service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one month of your subscription fee. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited by law.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as the Service, technology, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on the Service with a revised effective date, and material changes will be communicated to subscribers. Continuing to use the Service after an update means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, you can cancel from your parent dashboard.
